About Me
Hi there! I'm Max, and I'm a designer from Cincinnati, currently based in St. Louis. I'm a senior pursuing a BFA in Communication Design at WashU’s Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts, with a minor in Business of the Arts.
I consider myself a multidisciplinary creator with particular interests in motion design, publication design, and branding. I am passionate about exploring topics that closely engage with community, subcultures, and human stories. In my free time, I love keeping myself physically and mentally active; I enjoy freestyle dance (specializing in breaking and house) and running, as well as various creative outlets such as street photography and figure drawing.
During Summer 2024, I had the opportunity to intern at World Wide Technology under the video production team based in St. Louis. Through this internship, I gained valuable experience in creating professional video-based work, including (but not limited to) developing motion graphics, operating professional-grade cameras, setting up environmental lighting, podcast recording, color grading, and audio mixing.
I am deeply involved in on-campus opportunities, with various leadership experiences under my belt. I am currently co-Executive Director of WashU’s Lunar New Year Festival, which is the largest cultural production on campus, and I am also co-President of WUCypher, WashU’s premier freestyle dance organization.
